Sapna and Mithun celebrated their love for travel throughout their wedding festivities, and we honestly are here for it! Their 3 day functions in Udaipur were all themed around different destinations, from Udaipur to Kolkata and all the way to Amritsar, followed by a Reception in Trivandrum. Our bride rocked it in stunning outfits, whether it was her no-frills mehendi lehenga or the gorgeous bridal lehenga she adorned for her wedding, her each and every look was beautiful. Hotel Lakend, Udaipur and Vivanta by Taj, Trivandrum were picture perfect backdrops for the wedding and reception, respectively, while photography by Shades Photography★ 4.3 was the cherry on the top!

From The Bride

Mithun and I have very little in common, except that we both love traveling and exploring, so we decided just like us the wedding needs to be a multicultural one- set around different cities of India. For our mehendi and Sangeet we got an Udaipur Mela set up, followed by Mata Ki Chowki (Calcutta - so we got a Durga idol flown in from West Bengal), the Anand Karaj in the Gurudwara so that had to be Amritsar and finally the rehearsal dinner and after party in a green lush garden to look like Kerala, since that’s where Mithun is originally from. Our wedding invites were also like boarding passes- taking off from Udaipur via Kolkata, Amritsar and the destination was Trivandrum. The wedding was followed by a ceremony and family reception in Trivandrum.

Pakhi Pahuja: Pakhi is not only one of the most talented artists today but a very patient and understanding person. She, along with Dolma from Team Vanity, made me look so different, even got me out of my comfort zone with respect to some hairdos in a very smooth manner and my friends and family would tell me at every function - we can’t decide which one is your best look specially with respect to my make up and hair. She was my first choice and so glad she was available for the dates and I really wish she was available for my Kerala reception!

Shades Photography: Ashwin and his team from Shades were more excited to click us than we ourselves were! They didn’t leave any stone un-turned. In fact, even gave us entry suggestions for some functions! The entire team is so warm and these guys are very professional. Again, I had no second options in this category and so glad it all fell in place.

The Wedding Fairytale: We hired these guys to do our wedding videos and it’s come out so brilliant. They worked really hard to capture almost every action, every smile and every guest at the wedding. Vaibhav, Pranay and Avantika were with us throughout and didn’t make us uncomfortable at all. Since Mithun is very conscious around cameras, It was nice that the crew made us feel really comfortable in a very short time.

Jade by Monica & Karishma: We bought my wedding lehenga in June, but I wasn’t very satisfied with it when I went for my trial in September. However, the girls at Jade - Bhavika, Riya and Nidhi took it upon themselves and really worked hard on it. The next time I went in October I was so glad when I saw the lehenga, the fit and the complete look. What I really appreciate is that even though I got rude at the time, they were so calm and supportive. Trust me, these girls can actually fix anything! ?

Hotel Lakend: The property is by the Fateh sagar Lake and it made perfect sense, since I wanted the functions by lakeside (since that’s the beauty of Udaipur). The service, food and attention to detail was next level. The guys even opened their kitchen for me at 3 am the night before my wedding since I was craving for pink pasta.
