Breakfast food has been making the rounds at weddings internationally. Doughnuts, fruits and even dosas have now renounced their status at weddings as side dishes and instead, have gone mainstream. Real yummers!

So we decided to pull out all stops to get you a breakfast fix - foods that can really make your wedding brunch / lunch a dream come true. ***mouthwatering fare ahead! Dosa / Idli Bar

Oh this one is an easy one - all it needs is 6 kinds of idlis - from fried idli to idli satays to sugar-ed idlis to just rava idlis with a minimum of 10 chutneys. Do the same with mini dosas and let your guests add the fillings - chocolate, peanuts, stir-fried veggies and nutella- banana. Such an easy one and an effective one at that. Doughnut Bar

Doughnut bars are really taking over the world - and with Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Doughnuts entering India, we have a big big opportunity to use these yummy things to up the ante at weddings. But ask your caterer to do mini versions and make them Indian. I remember seeing a burfi wala topping on a doughnut, laddoo-wala one was cute and so was the mango-glazed one. Or even better, get your guests to sprinkle on powdered Indian sweets on top of them! Pancake / French Toast /Crepe / Waffle Bar

This one will always be a winner, no matter what. Pancakes, french toast and crepes all belong to the same kind of family so stock up on fun toppings and create a nice little bar for kids and adults alike to have fun. Cut them into heart shapes or add a lollipop stick on them - whatever you do, create some darma around them. Parfait Bar

Lots of yogurts and fun fruits and oodles of granola - this parfait/ yogurt bar is going to be every health-food freak's best bet. Add honey, fun granola, a few nuts and your favourite fruits along with a tub of yogurt and make them go crazy! Want to give an Indian touch to it? Add a few raisins, rose water or a bit of musk melon or mango. Yummmmmmmm! You could also just stick to fruits and make it a fruit bar - just get those fun tropical fruits in. Omelet Bar

Brunch is never the same without eggs, innit? So create a fun Omelette bar with all kinds of toppings for your guests to have fun with. The counters must be set to-order and you can also add a few interesting things to the mix - like mushrooms, grilled onions and avocados. Add spinach and make some yummy masala Omelettes to go around like little spring rolls - inventive-ness can get you brownie points.
