Ever since COVID struck and the lockdown began, our lives have changed. But one good thing is, slowly and steadily, people are going about their lives, albeit keeping precautions in check (hopefully!). WedMeGood has been featuring quite a few lockdown and coronial weddings since the 'unlockdown', and while most of them have been intimate weddings, they definitely were special! Here are some ideas we loved from 10 Real Weddings that we featured.

A backyard wedding in the bride's ancestral home

Ritu and Avinash had a gorgeous wedding in the bride's ancestral home, and the best part is, it was done up absolutely gorgeously. The decor was on point, and the wedding definitely looked very special! We love how more and more couples are revisiting the age old tradition of having an intimate wedding in their family home right now!

Keeping it minimally chic and stylish

We love how this couple kept things minimal yet very very chic and elegant at their home wedding, which was just a marriage registration. Love her modern outfit!

Family getting together to DIY!

This engagement had the sister of the groom taking matters into her own hands and DIYing a special setting in their basement for her brother's lockdown engagement. And to top it all, they sourced almost everything from Amazon Prime!

Letting the decor do all the talking!

While of course, Kiruthika & Syed's wedding was a smaller, more intimate affair, what we loved was that the couple did not keep the decor intimate- it was lavish and gorgeous, and one look at the photos, and you won't believe that this was not a big wedding!

Going ahead with your scheduled date while working things around

This couple had their June wedding all planned out, but when COVID played spoilsport, they went ahead with the date as planned, but just shifted the wedding at home and scaled everything down a lot. BTW, we love the bride's pastel lehenga pick too!

Wearing your dream bridal outfit even for a home wedding

Real Bride Mehak had a home wedding, but still wore this gorgeous Anita Dongre lehenga, which definitely grabbed our attention! Having an intimate wedding doesn't have to mean you can't wear your dream bridal outfit!

Converting mom's saree into a bridal lehenga!

Real Bride Muskaan converted her mom's saree into her bridal lehenga, and we love the idea!

Brides designing their own bridal outfits!

This bride designed all her own bridal outfits for her wedding at home, and they were simply gorgeous and very very trendy!

Having just a simple Court wedding

Sonali and Vishal had the simplest of wedding celebrations after the Pandemic, choosing to have a Court wedding with 11 near and dear ones instead of a bigger ceremony.

Or a staycation destination wedding!

Shveta and Aatish chose to have a staycation destination wedding at a resort a drivable distance away with the people who really mattered to them while keeping all the precautions in mind!
