It's the final look of our Red Carpet bride at Aza, and we admit, we feel a bit disappointed letting all these pretty outfit posts end. But worry not, we shall have another red carpet feature soon (Psst- comment below and tell us where you would want it next!). Photographed by Morvi Images who very sweetly waited for a whole hour and a half for the girls as we fussed over the outfits, and managed to still be excited about the shoot after having an exhausting shoot day the day before. With makeup by the ultra sweet, and soft spoken Avantika Kapoor who did SUCH a brilliant job at Aza- our all girl squad at Aza (no kidding we were like 7 girls with shrieky voices running helter skelter all over that gorgeous Aza store) had a field day . Huge thank you to the ultra cooperative Aza team who were super accommodating and helpful
Being a South Indian Bride , I was keen to try on the traditional Lehenga as I had little chance of doing the same on my wedding day. With my favourite designer being (well , you guesed it right ) - Sabysachi Mukherjee , we chose this stunning coral jacket lehenga by the maestro and I was in love . We had also shortlisted a bright pink, traditional lehenga by him which we whatsapped to WMG readers, but turns out they thought it was a bit too 'seen' and hence we went with this outfit.
The extremely talented Avantika Kapur then took over the reins ,styling my hair in a very spohisticated side bun to complement this beautiful jhoomar we chose as my accessory. A few minutes under Avantika's skillful brush strokes and I was transformed into the pretty princess I felt like
Then came the best part of the experience - the photshoot by Morvi. If there's one word to describe Morvi and her work - it is 'chic'. She helped me relax and made the shoot fun as I get a little camera conscious sometimes. She made me laugh, relax and taught me how to pose infront of the camera. And the result was of course, gorgeous !
The entire experience was a fun - girl's day out put together by the Wed Me Good team and the hospitable team at Aza New Delhi. Thanks a lot guys [handbook] [vendor]
Meet Mathsyali and her floor length carrot red Sabyasachi outfit.
The day before our shoot, the girls were excitedly discussing which designer they would like to wear. Ofcourse, everyone wanted to wear Sabyasachi and thats what we feared - we definitely wanted to show you guys some other outfits like this amazing black outfit here and this candy pink lehenga but when it came to Mathsyali- this outfit seemed literally made from her. It fit her like a glove and the carrot red color was the perfect tone against her complexion.
Mathsyali comes from a Kannadiga family and she would be wearing a Kanjivaram on her big day. Her reason for entering the red carpet shoot was one of the best ones we have heard- she wanted to show her family how great she could look in a lehenga so that maybe for one of the smaller events she could get to wear one ! We added some super edgy ear cuffs with strands, a chunky jhoomer and this bride was all set and looking like a million bucks Outfit Details- Carrot red lehenga from Aza (Find them on facebook here)
