Welhams-Dosco wedding in the hills !

BY The WMG Bride | 10 Dec, 2014 | 7175 views | 3 min read

When your sister is  behind the lens at a wedding, you are guaranteed shots that are full of love , and some hilarious behind the scene stories you need to read about (Hint: Involves hair extensions). This wedding in the hills celebrates two people who studied alongside each other all their life (Welhams and Doon school) yet never bumped into each other until recently when they were set up.

Meet Soumya and Ravi

This was an arranged marriage but we turned out to be in the same batch of boarding schools neighbouring each other and yet never met at any of the events the schools celebrated together. Even after the wedding was decided upon, they seemed to only meet in airport lounges as both of them always seemed to be flying to or from work ! 38-pre-weddingshoot (3)33-unnamed (9)40-pre-weddingshoot (5)

Which meant that everyone was running helter skelter trying to make sure that they survived her onslaughts. Particularly funny was that Soumya had to use human hair extensions that she had been asked to keep carefully. On the day of the cocktail we all landed up in Mussoorie and when the makeup started realised that her extensions had been left behind in Dehradun. We had to send an Uncle of ours back to find them and bring them to Mussoorie which really delayed everything and had us getting an earful from the boy's side…And then once on the dance floor I realised in my complete state of intoxication that I could spot human hair on the dance floor. So in the middle of all the madness I was scouting for Soumya's fallen hair extenAsions on the dance floor thinking only that we just could not afford to miss out on those again ! Another  fun memory, would be teaching Ravi how to dance for almost 3 weeks. Serious coaching classes where he wasnt getting the "swag right". Ravi was even being taught how to dance via Skype…this was how desperate we were- we chose a song with the sole criteria being that it should be filmed on a guy with dancing skills like Ravi- hence John Abraham ! The whole wedding was one crazy party, specially because Soumya has been an in all girls school and college so the sheer number of women who turned up was INSANE and given this was a Welham-Dosco wedding it almost seemed like a social or a match, only with the referee missing.
