The Jade Lehenga That Saved My Mehendi : Bride Rupali !

Getting emails from frantic brides to be who have had last minute outfit disasters is a part and parcel of the Job here at Wed Me Good. And we will admit it, the disasters are usually stuff like "3 sequins fell off my dress" , or "My invitations are lavender not deep lavender"  so most of the time we are guidance counselors for relaxation . But in this case, there was a genuine outfit disaster! See Rupali was visiting India from US and she found a designer in Mumbai to do her Mehendi outfit- she showed a picture of what she wanted it to look like , and it was a pretty basic outfit really. A plain georgette lime green lehenga with a plain turquoise border and a plain lime green blouse, with a shaded dupatta.

What turned out:

Umm, there is no nice way to put this. What turned out was an outfit that backup dancers would wear in Bollywood songs in the 70's !!! Super shiney lurex , super blingy work and Rupali was horrified !!! I do have a picture of the outfit, but lets not put it out there and bad mouth anyone.

What she did next  lets hear from Rupali herself 

"Blingy is not my personality, I like clothes that are simple, fashion forward, unique, showcasing indian craftsmanship and excellent in fit.  This is what JADE resembles and that is why I called them immediately after I saw my inital mehndi lengha had turned out horribly.

The girls over the phone helped with everything, they suggested some lenghas, sent me pictures, asked for my precise measurements, when they felt something wasn't right they messaged me again and made sure it was correct.  I can't say enough good things about Jade and my experience with them.  I recieved the outfit in Arizona 2 days before my event and guess what it fit like a glove and looked beautfitul. :) "
