Glamorous wedding in Delhi with a dash of shimmer

Being married inside an ice sculpture - that's a first for us at WMG weddings. But as we flipped through the pretty pictures of this album - there is so much else to love as well . First, there's an unconventional color choice - a Sabyasachi but a unique mint and gold (almost grey ) one that is one of a kind . There is the soft peach mehendi outfit, and the smashing pre wedding shoot with a billowing gown shot by Artfoto Studios .
Meet Ashna and Varun
"Ours was an arranged marriage but definitely, love at first sight. We met through family and the first time we met each other - we knew we wanted to be with each other. It was the best feeling ever." recounts Ashna.
The Mehendi
The Wedding
From The Bride: "It is every girl's dream to look her best on the wedding. I definitely did not want the usual red since it was a summer wedding and mint green was really the colour of the season this summer. For me it was more about wearing a monotone lehenga since I did not want too much colour on my wedding outfit. My personal choice for my wedding was to look glamorous, classy, and traditional at the same time. The wedding outfit was absolutely different yet the quintessential Sabya style." she says. "For my engagement and sangeet I chose Jade by Monica and Karishma and the colour red of course. Since the wedding outfit was a light summer colour, I thought the engagement could be brighter and red on one function. I chose to wear a floor-length anarkali by Jade since it was rich and very royal in style. Perfect for any bride. For the henna, I chose a lehenga by Frontier Raas since I needed something not too loud and very "me" at the same time. The outfit was a perfect description of a fairy tale wedding with the flowy skirt and short choli." she explains. "We wanted everything to be absolutely royal for the wedding. Umrao was a fabulous choice for the same and there couldn't have been a more glamorous place than that to get married. The Umrao was exceptional. It was a dream come true and a property that is perfect for the most royal wedding ever. The elaborate set up is just how you have dreamt your wedding to happen. At our Engagement, we had performances by the Wadali Brothers and the Band Nasha - it was a treat. All of our vendors were absolute professionals - they did an amazing job and made sure we were happy," she adds.Vendors: Venues : The Wedding at The Umrao Hotel and Resort (Elroy), New Delhi; Engagement / Sangeet and Mehendi at Kempinski Ambience Hotel, Delhi| Decor: Wedding by The Umrao Hotel and Resort Team; Engagement / Sangeet and Mehendi by R2S Events | Catering: The Umrao Hotel and Resort andKempinski Ambience Hotel |Makeup: Wedding & Engagement by Prerna Khullar ; Mehendi by Ablaze by Simran Takkar |Mehendi: Heena & Harsha| Brides Outfits: Mehendi outfit by Frontier Raas , Wedding outfit by Sabyasachi; Engagement / Sangeet outfit by Jade by Monica and Karishma ; |Groom Oufits: Mehendi outfit by Anuj Madaan Couture; Wedding outfit by Sabyasachi Groomwear ; Engagement / Sangeet outfit by Sabyasachi Groomwear |Photographer & Videographer: Artfoto Studios | Invitations: Wedding favours by Chocovic
