The devil, they say is always in the details when it comes to weddings. It could be that string of rajnigandha used instead of a napkin ring at the guest tables, it could be tiny, overflowing jars of flowers near the mandap, or it could be the gorgeous bicycle inspired tassles of an Anju Modi Lehenga. There is a certain under stated elegance, and class of Anju Modi that is timeless and yet so contemporary at the same time. This show was an absolute treat (even though we couldn't make it for this one and had to live stream it)- fabrics and textures that were innately Indian but in modern, contemporary silhouettes.
Wed Me Good Loves:
Almost everything !!! Right from soft pastel groom wear, to the flowy dhoti-kurta silhouettes and the lehengas that with just gorgeous, understated embroidery and deep colors. Also shout out to the blouses- while everyone is pretty much in agreement that crop top lehengas are the rage this season, loved some of the deep neck and full sleeve detailing at Anju Modis. These were our FAVOURITES from the show:
WOW. Absolutely love the detailing on this one
That soft blue color with the navy blouse
New favourite silhouette- the dhoti with the asymmetric kurta
Gorgeous use of color that. Sigh. Want.
That is so elegant, and if you are attending a friends wedding, this is the outfit to steal!
THAT is one of the most elegant groom wear pieces ever. And do we see socks peeping through ?
Another groom wear outfit we love- those socks peeping through the brogues are actually looking kind of fab!
