A radiant Mumbai wedding with a last minute bride !

Remember the bride who forgot her bridal lehenga ?? Well, we have something newer this time- This self proclaimed 'last minute bride' bought her shoes for the roka ceremony on the way to the venue! No jokes people, we are serious ! This colorful wedding features two totally different people, a lot of nach gaana, a pool party and outfits drenched in sorbet colors. So yum! From the bride: Our wedding was at Retreat Madh Island in February this year. It was more or less like a destination wedding, cause we booked the whole place and majority of guests including close friends and family stayed at the property. Vinayak and I were both completely involved in the wedding preparations. I am very detail oriented, so it was important that I kept myself involved in all the details (yep- Bridezilla! ).
For my outfits I didn't really have a vision but I just knew that I wanted to shop from Bombay (Vendor details for each outfit given in the end) . I like subtle, simple designs. So Delhi's bling show really wasn't my thing! I did one trip there to satisfy myself that I wasn't missing anything. But in the end I picked up everything mostly from Mumbai. Everyone around me labelled me the 'last-minute bride'. With work being so hectic in the months leading up to the wedding, particularly my Roka, I got most of my stuff 1-2 days before the functions. I picked up shoes for my Roka on the way to the venue!!
The pool party, sangeet and the wedding were all held at Retreat with catering by Mini Punjab. Most of my vendors did a great job. A special mention to Prafulla Mehendi , all my 3 makeup artists (details below) as well as Photosynthesis by Aditi and Omar Iyer Photography. Aditi was our candid photog and she did a great job. I must mention the hospitality at Retreat, Madh Island as well which was par excellence!

Meet Nitisha & Vinayak
"Our first instinct was that this would not work", says Nitisha about her first meeting with Vinayak . "He is the typical party guy while I'm a self confessed geek!"
