Ever since the launch of Sabya's Opium collection, we have been waiting for a real bride to wear one of those all gold ensembles we completely love . Well, we just got our first sighting of it here on the Wed Me Good blog with the stunning Koell . With gorgeous pictures courtesy The Wedding Salad, this one features two college sweethearts whose wedding seems like one big party (hey, you don't see 5 hour baraats everyday)!
Meet Koell & Pavan
They met in Junior College, were friends for about two years before they started dating. It wasn't long , before their relationship turned into wedding bells . You can tell just by the pictures and the big grins on these two faces, that this couple just fits !
Love that lehenga in shades of pink! Also the delicate white flower jewellery is a refreshing change from the large floral jewellery we see around.
The Sangeet
Love this ensemble for a groom to be! Traditional, but edgy.
The Wedding
The way the light strikes the dupatta of that gold lehenga is just stunning
From the groom:
When it came to planning our do, we haven't been very involved. Most of the actual planning has been done by our parents and siblings who did a fantastic job in brining to life what our vision for our wedding was.
We wanted the Sangeet and Mehendi to be fun events, full of song and dance. For the mehendi, we had tarot card readers. palm readers, people to tie parandi along with different types of mehendi artists. The Baraat was an event by itself, where 250 people danced on the streets of Bandra on a Monday evening for five hours (what the ?). For the Wedding, we wanted to keep it serene and meaningful. We had a lady who very eloquently explained the english meaning of every part of the wedding for the guests. My most vivid memory would probably be walking with my bride towards the mandap.
A small word about the wedding salad - It was great to have young and vibrant photographers around. They always ensured we were comfortable. The best part about them, they did not act like celebrity photographers and gave us and our guests space, and still managed to capture beautiful photographs.
